A lovely place for a picnic or bushwalk, the Old Hepburn Pool is situated in a beautiful bush setting, with a fascinating history. Built in the 1930’s this swimming pool was used for state swimming championships. You can still spot the lane markings still left on the pool edges.
Prior to that, this site was of great significance to the Dja Dja Wurrung people, who were the original inhabitants of this region. Follow the walking trail past the pool and down to the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve for a gentle, scenic walk. Refresh with some mineral water before heading back to your starting point.
